Brearely Studio Shots

We are nearing the end of my residency and I am really enjoying working with Janice Marisilli's students at Brearely. The kids are doing some beautiful work and it is so inspiring watching them become engaged in the process. It is still a constant touch and go of.... I hate this, I love this ... their work, the process, school, - life, that it keeps me totally present. I KNOW the power of their work and when I can get them to see it - well, that's what it's all about. Some of the kids have started to work with the poet and writer Penny Harter and are very excited about what they have done with her so far. I knew of her , but couldn't place her face... then I went to her website and realized that we have been in several NJSCA workshops together. Check out her site at:http://penhart.home.att.net/

Nanci,
I may be a complete stranger to you, however, I graduated high school with your brother Lenny. I also knew Beth Fendell and was extremely saddened to hear of her sudden death. I will always remember her smile. I hope that her family finds comfort knowing that Beth will always be remembered for her sweetness and kind heart. I also wanted to send a note to you in hope that you will forward Lenny my email address. I have always wondered how he has progressed. I have not been to any reunion and have only been in contact with maybe three people since graduation. Lenny was always very nice to me during our "school days". He was admired by many high school companions. Please say hello to him for me. My maiden name was "Conk" and yes I received a lot of "ribbing" for the last name. Anyway, I wish you well, I see you are a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed 2 years ago with Uterine Cancer. Luckily, surgery removed all the cancer. They have found recently some abnormal cells in my esophagus, but I'm told that they will watch closely and that I'm in no immediate danger. With that I will close. I hope to hear from Lenny or at least a message from you that he is doing well.
Best Regards,
Constance Mehesy
