How about a hammock for Dad? It sends him a great message - to RELAX and cut the stress. (And then YOU, Nanci, can sneak and use it when he's not around.)
I gave my husband a hammock one year, for the purpose of that message, and he immediately fell out of it!!

Thanks for both (!) comments Denise... silly technology. Hammocks are wonderful, our backyard connecting neighbors have one, and yes I do sneak out there. Though not enough. Will work on that.
